Is Isla Chiquita an Island?

Yes. Isla Chiquita is set in Isla Jesusita, a tiny island located in Costa Rica’s Gulf of Nicoya. It sits right across the Paquera Ferry Arrival Deck.

How do I get to Isla Chiquita?

You can arrive directly by boat or yacht from any marina along Costa Rica’s Pacific coast. If you drive from San José, you must head to Puntarenas to board a ferry to Paquera. If you drive from Liberia, you can head straight to Paquera. We provide complimentary water taxi service between Paquera and Isla Chiquita. Helicopter arrivals are also possible! Please contact us to determine your best arrival options.

Do I have to share a bathroom?

No! Every tent accommodation features an en-suite private bathroom and shower. Double sinks and organic personal care products will keep you comfortable and pampered.

Are the Glamping Tents Air-Conditioned?

No. We want to keep our environmental footprint as tiny as possible! All accommodations are well-ventilated by the cool ocean breeze and powerful ceiling fans provide extra comfort. And every tent features a private outdoor deck with loungers.

Is there a swimming pool?

Our refreshing pool offers a perfect spot to enjoy a cooling dip while lounging in our palm-tree shaded gardens. Its above-ground layout ensures a small environmental footprint in accordance to our low-impact design philosophy.

Bioluminscence experience! This one-of-a-kind evening boating adventure will seek this show in the area surrounding Isla Chiquita. Our planet offers privileged locations that feature a mesmerizing natural phenomenon called bioluminescence. The ocean lights up during very dark nights. Produced by high concentrations of light-emitting plankton, bioluminescence imbues the waters with a starry night effect.
